Girls' Travel Team Tryouts
NOTE: Basketball Wallaceburg encourages all players to consider travel team basketball. The club will support teams where coaches are available and where sufficient numbers of travel calibre players tryout. A tryout held at any level is not a guarantee that a team will run in that level this season.

Basketball Wallaceburg coaches are volunteers. They are not renumerated for their time or expertise. Persons wishing to coach a Wallaceburg Airhawk travel team during the 2008-09 season should download the Travel Coach Application Form from the Forms page and return it to a club official during registration.
Coaches for travel teams are selected by a committee of directors based on the following criteria: NCCP certification, experience including elementary, high school, other house league, other travel league, BW house league, BW travel team, other teams, and club committment. Coaches must be willing to abide by all Basketball Wallaceburg policies and the Guidelines for Coaches, Players, and Spectators as outlined by Basketball Ontario.
Coach certification is a must at Basketball Wallaceburg. Go to www.basketball.on.ca and select Coaching and Community to find out about the Basketball Ontario requirements for the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). For more detailed information about coach certification, check out www.coachesontario.ca and www.coach.ca.
